On February 2, 2019, Laser-View Technologies President, Steve Lubeck, was presented with the Vexmen’s Lifetime Achievement Award by Vexmen President, Chris Hallahan. This award has only been presented once before in the nine years of the Vexmen’s existence, serving as a huge honor to Steve.

Vexmen is a division of Brandywine Robotics, a group of students, mentors, and sponsors who work to get kids interested in S.T.E.M. based careers using competition robotics and hands-on experience.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has not only gone above and beyond with supporting Brandywine Robotics and Vexmen organizations but has also volunteered countless hours at other organizational events. Steve was also the 2018 Pennsylvania State Championship Volunteer of the Year award recipient, reflecting his endless efforts for the past eight years.

Steve’s dedication and time commitment to supporting the area’s educational robotics should be an inspiration to all. Without Steve’s assistance over the past nine years, many of the student competitions in the area wouldn’t happen. Most of the competition fields in the area are tirelessly packed and transported on Steve’s own time and ferried from event to event. His passion for education and volunteerism should serve as a model for those in the tech industry.

As one of the original founders of the Non-Profit Brandywine Robotics organization he has acted in the capacity of officer and treasurer, as well as a senior mentor to the nearly 40 Vexmen teams and its 180 student members.
