DIS inclination Sensors from Laser-View Technologies measure slope or inclination relative to gravity. Our sensors are based on MEMS accelerometers and address position, slope, and level measurement challenges.
DIS QG76 high accuracy stainless steel inclination sensors have been used in demanding applications, such as measuring the rotation of melt shop ladles. Our solid state sensors have replaced costly and less reliable rotary encoders. Mills have used the QG76 single axis inclination sensor to measure up to 360° of rotation.
Since DIS offers the unique ability to zero the sensor, mounting is not as critical. Although DIS sensors are rated for higher than normal temperatures, an insulator material is placed between the sensor and the mounting surface to protect the sensor from heat conduction.
