Use
Measure Tracks display and acquisition software along with laser
displacement sensors to measure width and diameter of paper rolls in process.
In the application shown, paper rolls of varying sizes are inspected for
diameter with a single sensor overhead and for width with a pair of
sensors aimed at the opposing ends. The use of long range sensors
permits a wide range of diameters and widths to be measured with a single
system.
Coil
edge profile can also be measured with a laser based profiler
system.
