Rubber & extruded materials

Use Measure Tracks display and acquisition software along with laser displacement sensors to measure thickness of supported and suspended material webs in process.  Laser sensors can be configured as a master/slave pair to measure thickness or measurements can be taken from a single sensor head.  Multiple tracks of sensors can be dealt with at once using our software.

Packaging inspection

Smart machine vision systems to inspect packaged products.  Shown here is a pair of custom vision inspection systems mounted on an auto bagger line.  The two cameras inspect for malformed and improperly sealed bags, and confirm proper bag size.  

Systems have also been retrofitted onto food packaging lines to confirm packaging dimensions, labels, etc.

Paper mill

Use Measure Tracks display and acquisition software along with laser displacement sensors to measure width and diameter of paper rolls in process.  In the application shown, paper rolls of varying sizes are inspected for diameter with a single sensor overhead and for width with a pair of sensors aimed at the opposing ends.  The use of long range sensors permits a wide range of diameters and widths to be measured with a single system.  

Tube manufacturing

• Measure length of long tubes in process with a laser displacement sensor and Measure Tracks for Tubes software.  Long range sensors permit wide length ranges to be measured without altering the sensor set-up.  Our software permits measurements of the tube wall edge only.
  

• Measure diameter and ovality of tubes in process using laser micrometers and Laser Mic Monitor software;  We can measure tubes and bars in piecewise or continuous processes.
  

• Semi-automatic laser measurement of tube ID and OD chamfers using our Chamfer Scan system;  The system can measure chamfers from "edge breaks" through larger size chamfers.  We have measured angles as steep as 20 degrees from the tube axis.

Lumber / sawmills / building materials

• Measure cant of lumber in a sawmill operation  with long distance laser displacement sensors and our Cant Measurement System
  

• Measure thickness of plywood and pressed materials in process using laser displacement sensors and Measure Tracks  software  

Metrology lab

• Measure height and thickness using laser displacement sensors in a Bench top measurement system 
  

• Measure diameter, TIR, and ovality using laser micrometers  and Laser Mic Monitor software;  Standard and special fixturing and process tools can be provided.
