LASER SCANNING systems for process measurement and control.  

Shown here is a laser scanning system designed to measure the diameter and straightness of ground shafts with multiple features, diameter ranges, and lengths.  The laser micrometer is mounted on a servo-driven translation stage.  A specialized PC application (illustrated to the left) controls the stage and acquires the part profile.  Grinder and/or machine tool size regulation can be accomplished using communications between the PC and the machine tool controls.
