Laser Displacement Sensor is ideal for
non-contact precision distance measurement and thickness measurement,
and surface profiling. It is common to integrate a laser
displacement sensor into in-process thickness measurement applications,
distance monitoring applications, or profiling equipment. Many of our customers place the Laser
Sensors on the factory floor under typical production conditions, so
their ruggedness is proven. We have also filled applications
in which our long range laser distance sensor
has been used in the building trade to monitor movement and position of
building structures from a distance.
Interfaces:
Our Laser displacement sensors include
combinations of serial and/or analog output interfaces and can all be
programmed from a PC via special software or simple programs, such as HyperTerminal.
A Laser Displacement Sensor can also
be coupled with a digital display
or any of our PC data acquisition
software applications for in-process measurement. Also provided on every laser
displacement sensor is a set of digital alarm outputs.
Performance:
We can provide a laser displacement
sensor with measuring ranges from 2 mm and a resolution of
0.03 µm to 100 meters and a resolution of 0.10 mm.
Our series 100
through series 3000 laser displacement sensors are all
digital. This means that they all use digital signal processor (DSP) technology and utilize either CCD or CMOS imaging chips.
This provides superior performance overall to the traditional PSD
(position sensing device) type sensors that once dominated the
market.
The PMS 400 long
range laser distance sensor is a phase shift type device. It
can measure up to 30 meters without a reflector plate on the target and
up to 100 meters with reflective tape affixed to the target.
